I think I have mentioned on here before that I teach two classes at a university here in Macau. If I haven't mentioned it, then I teach two classes at a university here in Macau. Today we had an extra class before their final, so it was just a goof-off, play games, take pictures sort of day. Therefore, I have pictures to share with you. Both classes are mid-level classes and I think the majority of the students are in their second year (about 19 years old).

Next, Eating. Always fun. Each month, our English Center hosts some type of social event. This month, we decided to welcome the new teachers with a traditional Chinese banquet. And I have pictures.

Top left shows the group and the bottom right pictures shows two of our new teachers, Marie and Dan, and a student, and our first course... the pig.

Other than teaching and just general hanging out, this is what I have been up to, more hanging out. It is a strange thing, I have noticed that the more Macau feels like home and the more I do things like I did at home, the more homesick I get. Hmmm. Any thoughts on that one? It seems like it would be the opposite. Anyhow, depsite the nagging sense of just plain homesickness that creeps up at odd moments, things are great. Praise God! He is so good, all of the time. And that's all I have for now...

Pictures

Here are some pictures from this past weekend when a few of us went ice-skating. Actually they were taken before we started skating, but it was the best I could do because I don't think taking pictures while ice-skating would be a wise thing to do, well for me anyway.

Ruth and Derek

All of us, minus a few late comers and the picture taker, Lawrence. It is required that you wear gloves just in case you wonder why we have them on.

Lawrence and me. That's right, I am an English teacher and I just wrote "Lawrence and me". "Lawrence and I" just doesn't seem to fit in the caption. Lawrence also let me drive his car around the Macau dome. It had been so long since I had driven a car, ahhh.

Ken and Shirley

Post ice-skating refreshments.

And obviously this is not ice-skating, but is on here just because he was trying SO hard to smile.
